Trip Itinerary:

Day 1: Jinhong Arrival

✨ Visit the Starlight Night Market

Welcome to Xishuangbanna, the tropical paradise!  Upon arrival at Xishuangbanna Gasa Airport, your local tour guide and driver will meet you at the arrival hall during the designated time of arrival, and then transfer to your hotel.

The rest of the day if yours to freely enjoy this southernmost city in Yunnan Province.

Optional night activity: hit the largest night market in Xishuangbanna - Gaozhuang Night Market (also called starlight night market) to savor fresh tropical fruits, sample tasty Dai snacks and shop lovely souvenirs without overspending.

Day 2: Jinhong✨ Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden

Today, you'll meet with China’s best tropical flavor and trek rainforest at Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden!After breakfast, you'll firstly drive to visit a lovely local morning market, the Ganlanba morning market. You'll sample delicious local snacks. After this short visit, drive for about 62km and 1 hour and you will arrive at the Tropical Botanical Garden scenic area. This is the largest and most beautiful botanical garden in China with the largest collection of flowers and plants. This vast area is consisted of three parts, and today, you will have a full day to visit both the beautiful gardens in West Area and the primitive tropical forest in East Area.

Kick off your visit with a sightseeing battery car to West Area for lush patches of flora, with stops at every garden for short trips. You will lose track of time getting up close to the various collections of palms, Orchids, ferns, bonsais, lotus, bamboo... You will also hit a small museum to learn tropical forest species and culture of this region.

In the afternoon, you'll head for the much larger and more primitive East Area for forest trekking.  It is home to acres of mostly undisturbed tropical rainforest, great for quiet wandering away from the crowds.

Optional night activity: visit Mekong river night market, another popular night market with beautiful night view of this famous Asian river.

Day 3:  Jinghong✨ Wild Elephant Valley; Rainforest light hiking

Today you are going to explore the famous Wild Elephant Valley and hike in the beautiful rainforest. Firstly drive to the Wild Elephant Vally. Instead of the commercial site, you'll get on an off-the-beaten-track journey to the forest and actually get in touch with the elephant by walking with them in the forests (guided by professional tour guides). You'll learn their nature and new ways of how to protect animals and enviornments. You'll help clean their houses if you wanted. After the experience, enjoy lunch, and then let's go hiking! It's not a tourist spot and there's no crowds, and it's very popular among foreign outdoor lovers,  perfect to enjoy the real tropical charms.

Day 4: Jinghong✨ Zongfo Temple, Manting Garden; Dai minority villageToday, your Xishuangbanna Tour starts with the an amazing tour to visit the famous Zongfo Temple and Manting Garden. Covering an area of 3,000 km², It is the center for Buddhists to pay reverence, also the oldest temple of Xishuangbanna. It is an ideal place to learn about the culture and appreciate the iconic architecture. The garden is filled with rare tropical plants.

In the afternoon you'll drive to Dai minority Manzhang Village. Only 30 minutes drive from Jinghong downtown, Manzhang Village is one of the most fascinating ethnic villages in Xishuangbanna. You'll take a leisure walking tour in the beautiful village dotted with ancient temples and surrouned by dense forest. And you'll explore the local folk ethnic culture including history, food, clothing, customs and traditions, architecture, crafts, religion, languages, etc..

After the visiting, you'll drive back to the hotel and have a good night's rest.

Day 5: Jinghong - Nanluo Mountain -Menghai✨ Hiking Nanluo Mountain and Tea Plantation

Today you'll leave Jinghong and drive to Nanluo Mountain. After about 1 hour's drive, you'll arrive this beautiful and well-preserved mountain.You'll walk on a jungle path to see the old Pu’er tea plantation in forest and huge bush tea plantation. All the tea trees are between 300 and 800 years old. If you like the tea, you can also buy some from local people for the best price. The whole experience lasts 4 to 5 hours.

You'll unlock the knowledge of Chinese tea and the history of the Tea-Horse Road, learn about the folk culture and life of Hani people and taste Hani’s food. Plus, after the hiking, you'll have a special natural afternoon tea with traditional Yun'nan coffee, desserts, and tea.

After the hiking, you'll drive to Menghai and check-in at Resort in Xishuangbanna

Day 6: Menghai✨ Enjoy the resort + in-depth visiting to various minority villages

Get up early for the famous morning fog view at the resort! Enjoy a nice breakfast buffet and have a relaxing morning at the resort.

At noon, you'll drive to Bulang Minority Village to have a special Bulang-French style lunch. In the afternoon, you'll drive through beautiful country side and lakes to visit the nearby Villages of various minority groups including Hani, Dai, Bulang, Wa, Lagu...After visiting, you'll drive back and enjoy the hot spring in the evening.

Day 7: Menghai - Jinghong departure

Today is for departure. You'll check out the resort and drive to Jinghong airport. Your Xishuangbanna tour ends here.
